I bow down to all the teachers who have come before me and have walked the path, passing down these perennial teachings, which have led me here. The teachings of Ramana Maharshi, T Krishnamacharya, Anandamayi Ma, Paramahansa Yogananda have guided me on this path and continue to be beacons of light in darkness. I am beyond grateful to the teachers who have inspired my practices and teachings - Sharon Gannon, David Life, Paul Grilley, Patrick Creelman, Mas Vidal, Anandra George, Jai Uttal, Aurelio Hammer, the teachers at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram's Vedic Healing Chants Dept, the awe-inspiring beings at Devipuram, Hema Mirpuri, who believed in me from the very beginning, and to all the students who walk this path with me.

I am a lifelong student of the path and practice, and continue my studies with numerous immersions and intensives with the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in the sacred texts from the Vedas, Upāniṣads, the Purānas, Bhagavad Gita, and various Yoga literature. Knowledge is power!
I am initiated into the Śrī Vidya lineage in Devipuram and my continuous studies and practice also consist of Tantric texts which honours the Divine Mother, which includes but is not exclusive to, the Devi Mahatmya and the Lalita Sahasranāma. These sacred texts offer us what is inherent within through symbolic mythology, the sacred essence of our divinity.

Namaste! Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better. I'd like to share a bit of my journey thus far. I am blessed to have been leading physical, mental, and spiritual wellness programs for the last 15 years, creating communities in Hong Kong, Tamil Nadu (India), and Vancouver (Canada), while leading holistic classes, retreats, workshops, and Yoga teacher trainings around the world.
I grew up in an environment where these sacred teachings were unavailable to me. I grew up with an opaque veil of ignorance that shrouded the knowledge of our true Divine nature, making decisions and taking actions that reflected that and seeking a life that rewarded temporal happiness through external, material gratification. Looking back, it was exhausting and depleting. It affected not only my relationships with others but also with myself. I lost myself along the way.
When I started walking this path 15 years ago, I was offered a different perspective of how to see and navigate this world. I was a Comparative Literature major who embraced the teachings of Joseph Campbell, seeing the common thread that is the under current for mythology, philosophy, and theology from different cultures and landscapes. I received dīkśa (initiation) into the Sŕī Vidyā lineage, which is rooted in the teachings of Advaita Vedanta (Non-dualism), Tantra, and Yoga, through honouring the Divine Mother, awakening the inherent creative power of life, while I still looked towards the teachings of other traditions like Taoism and Buddhism with reverence and guidance. The timeless wisdom of these philosophies ignited a light in me where there was once darkness. It was, and will always be, a conscious living practice every waking moment. Knowledge distils into wisdom when we live with intention and attention, through direct experience.
Living in India for 6 years shifted me profoundly. What a blessing to have been nurtured and nourished in her sacred soil, and immersing myself deeply in the spiritual fabric of life with temples and shrines that remind us of the Divinity of our Being. My journey in India led me to Devipuram, Andhra Pradesh, where I received dīkṣā. where I was offered initiation into the Śrī Vidya lineage, a practice honouring the Divine Mother, aligning with the Divine Feminine, which circles back to Living Shakti where we honour, celebrate, and tap into the creative power of life, culminating in Śrī Śakti Sādhanā. Śrī (auspicious) Śakti (Divine creative energy) Sādhanā (spiritual practice) is a synthesis of these teachings, practices, and rituals, which I have been blessed to have been offered to me by Divine grace that have shifted and sculpted my inner landscape, and continues to evolve as I walk this lifelong path, shining the light of awareness and compassion from inside out. I invite you to walk this path with me. May it offer you a different perspective of being in this world, as it did for me.
In service and with gratitude,
Nora
